Voice Treatment Systemic Inflammatory Diseases Affecting the Vocal Cords
The most common systemic inflammatory diseases that cause discomfort in the larynx include sarcoidosis, amyloidosis and Wegener's granulomatosis. Among these, sarcoidosis mostly affects the structures above the vocal cords, amyloidosis typically affects the vocal cord level, and Wegener's granulomatosis primarily affects the airway below the vocal cords.
